CASHIER Role Responsibilities:

• Operate scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronics.

• Ensure all accurate payments, prices, and quantities are recorded at registers.

• Assisting in refunds, exchanges, and resolving customer concerns.

• Basic math skills, computer skills, and social courteous skills.

• Careful inspection of ID-requirements sales such as alcohol or tobacco.

• Bagging purchases to ensure a safe transport and efficient usage of bags.

• Good memory for short-cut codes, products names, salesfloor locations, and prices.

CASHIER Courtesy Responsibilities:

• Greet, welcome, and thank all customers who come in and leave.

• Ask all customers to enter their rewards phone number or to sign up.

• Be able to inform customers with new updated information or promotions.

• Answer customer questions, locate items, & give general recommendations.

• Service at a high level of energy with strong customer service skills.

• A helpful and courteous approach to resolving customer & team concerns.

CASHIER Store Responsibilities:

• Cultural awareness to foods, products, and languages.

• Maintain a clean, hygienic, and decluttered workspace.

• Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items, & be multifaceted in various services.

• Work with team in a fast-paced environment for an excellent service.

• Follow all store procedures and prioritize team management orders.

• Be able to ask management for direction to increase store work flow.

• Dependable and reliable transportation with punctual time arrival for shifts.

• Careful handling during restock to prevent damage and disorganization.

• Memorize various products and their salesfloor locations.

• Keep shelves and store displays full, attractive, and properly rotated.

• Able to follow given directions

• Immediate awareness to help a customer rush-flow with bagging and clearing out shopping carts or baskets that are in the way.

STOCKER CLERK Courtesy Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist all customers who come in the store section.

• Maintain a positive and energetic attitude when helping customers.

• Inform customers about new promotions and seasonal items.

• Assist customers with store-related questions and product recommendations.

• Proactive in offering help in selecting, bagging, selecting products.

• Being able to help carry heavy groceries to cars by customers request

We are looking for part-time youths ages 18-24 interested in a 3 Month Program being a store-presentation team member paid at city minimum wage in Partnership with Sacramento Employment Training Agency!

Must be available 16 minimum hours - 24 max hours per week and enroll in the Out-Of-School Youth Program (FREE) with Asian Resources, Inc. They will help provide resume building, practice interviews, prepare job readiness, and life skills development. Must be able to have reliable and timely responsible transportation.
